Katherine Boice received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana University, her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Indiana State University and maintains her Director’s Certificate in Early Education (Florida Certification: Administration, Business Education, Vocational Education License). She is currently the Principal of Cathedral Parish School.
A strong advocate for a seamless Catholic Education, she strives to create a school environment building strong Gospel values, instilling compassion and the desire to serve others. She encourages students to use their God-given gifts to strive for academic excellence helping them to achieve their full potential. Mrs. Boice will be focusing upon the Florida Catholic Conference Accreditation Self-Study for the upcoming school year and researching the STEM initiative. She has attended the Principals’ Academy in Washington D.C. and has successfully led her previous school on to achieve the National Blue Ribbon Award, just as was done at Cathedral Parish School in 2007. Mrs. Boice has also served as a mentor during the Notre Dame Summer Educational Leadership Program.
In addition, she was a member of the Diocesan Advisory Board for 12 years, and was a member of the L’Arche Harbor House Board for a period of five years. She is currently placing her emphasis upon the 6-Traits of Writing Program Initiative now in its’ third year at Cathedral Parish School and plans to continue to investigate the possibility of incorporating more and more STEM initiatives within the CPS Educational Program.
