Diedre Birkmeyer

Teacher’s Assistant & Religion 6th Grade

Biography

Diedre Birkmeyer earned her B.S in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte, NC where she is from.  Her nursing experience has included adult medicine, public health, home health care, and insurance/corporate nursing.  Her favorite nursing role was teaching new nurses and training new employees.  Her family moved to St. Augustine in 2021 after leaving the cold snowy winters in Ann Arbor, MI (GO BLUE!) and wanted to continue a Catholic school education for her 3 sons who attend CPS.  During their first year she jumped right in to be a substitute teacher and volunteer and knew she wanted to be apart of the CPS community.  She has taught Faith Formation at her Parish in NC and has been a small group leader for the Walking with Purpose Bible studies.

Mrs. Birkmeyer is currently a religion teacher to 6th grade and teacher’s assistant.  She has received Basic Level 1 Catechist Certification from the Dioceses of St. Augustine.  Her teaching goal is for students to encounter Jesus personally and to develop their own deep relationship.  She believes each student has special gifts and talents to be shared and help bring Jesus to others.  Her favorite saying is “You Matter” and she shares this with each student.
