Biography
Jordan Verdugo is a member of our aftercare and summer camp program, VPK Wrap Around Care, and teaches 3rd grade religion at Cathedral Parish School. She has earned her A.A. Degree from Daytona State College and is currently working on receiving her Bachelors in Elementary Education. After she receives her B.A she wants to pursue the career of becoming an elementary teacher.
Jordan attends the 11 AM mass regularly at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach. A big part of Jordan’s life is her faith and one of the goals she has set in her life is to bring kids closer to Christ by putting Him first in all that she does by walking in His footsteps. The 2 verses that Jordan lives by are: “For I know the plans that I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belons to such as these.” -Matthew 19:14
While Jordan is working at CPS she loves to do whatever she can to make the kids happy. A few of her favorite things that she enjoys doing while working with the kids are: playing games, doing arts and crafts, helping them with homework, pushing them on the swings, talking to the kids, and receiving hugs from the kids. Jordan’s favorite parts about working at CPS are building bonds with the kids, developing relationships with the families, hearing the kids laughing, and seeing their smiling faces with joy in their eyes . Each year she looks forward to meeting the new students as well as becoming closer to the students from previous years.
