Lisette Villadóniga

 Sign Language:  K-5 Grades

Biography

Lisette Villadóniga  has been signing American Sign Language (ASL) since 1997 and holds a degree in Deaf and Elementary Education from Flagler College.  She has a teaching certificate for Hearing Impaired (K-12), Elementary Education  (K-5), Middle Grades Integrated Currículum (5-9), Middle School Math (5-9),  and English for Speakers of Other Languages (K-12).  Mrs. Villadóniga taught at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind (Middle School Math, Science and Language Arts) and St. Johns County public schools (5th Grade, ASL, Math, and Science) for a number years before deciding to utilize her skills as an interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  

Mrs. Villadóniga has also taught ASL and Spanish to home school groups, medical offices, libraries and currently teaches baby/toddler classes.  She has been a private tutor to every age group in various subject areas.

Mrs. Villadóniga provides a comfortable environment for Hearing or Deaf children and parents.  She incorporates music, art, movement, and fun in her classes!  Students will learn ASL vocabulary (local, regional and dialectical), ASL grammar, History of  ASL and the Deaf community. 

Mrs. Villadóniga has two beautiful daughters (5 years old and 10 months old) and is happily married to a local teacher.
