Ree Carroll

Math, STEM Lab 5-8 Grades

Biography

Ree Carroll received Bachelor of Business Administration in Corporate Finance as well as a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Educational Technology from the University of North Florida and is currently teaching Middle School Math at Cathedral Parish School (Florida Certification:  Middle School Mathematics 5-9).  Ms. Carroll has successfully fulfilled the requirements as a Board Certified Cognitive Specialist.   A strong advocate for critical thinking and applied learning, Ms. Carroll involves her students with multiple ways to apply their mathematical skills.  She sponsors CS-First; a Coding Club for students in grades five through eight.  Her professional interests focus on STEM Education, and her current projects include coordinating a team to attend the University of Notre Dame Center for STEM Education.  In addition, she serves as Math Department Chair for Cathedral Parish School.  CPS has adopted a new textbook series that provides variety online resources and Ms. Carroll is hoping the shift from textbook teaching to more project based learning will ensure all students achieve academic success.  She was honored with the Academic Excellence for her contributions to Educational Technology.
